5,500 km of MC2D seismic data acquired offshore Ghana as a part of WEASPAN™ project, in partnership with ION. PSTM data now available. Ghana’s first licensing round is now ongoing.

The survey objective is to image the basin architecture, define the limits of the various basins along the equatorial margin and identify petroleum systems offshore West Africa. It integrates available offshore well data to calibrate key stratigraphic horizons regionally and place this part of the margin in a larger (continental) context.

The uniform acquisition and processing of the new data provides a valuable calibration for AVO, phase rotation & amplitude balancing of existing datasets and for application of future technologies.

Processing parameters:

PSTM and PSDM using the full integrated SPAN™ workflow with integration of gravity data and well data if available for velocity model building and calibration. PSDM imaging will be down to approximately 40 km or the equivalent depth indicated by a record length of 18 s.
